A Large-scale, Multi-technology Internet of Things Testbed @ UNITRENTO

The IoT Testbed is an experimental facility managed by Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) that supports research and teaching on low-power wireless networking and localization, common in Internet of Things scenarios. It contains hundreds of nodes spread over nearly 8000m2 across several floors and areas of the University buildings and is meant to support several IoT technology.

CLOVES (Communication and Localization Testbed for Validation of Embedded Systems) is the first instantiation of the concept, supporting UWB and narrowband IEEE802.15.4 devices. Other technologies (e.g., mmWave) are being deployed in the area of the IoT Testbed and will be available soon. Stay tuned!
